I have used this lens a little now and found it front focuses on either a 5d or 40d. It works fine enough at f1.2, but once I get to say f2.8, its front focused by a clear margin.
I am not holding the seller totally responsible as I did not get to check this lens' performance properly till about 5 weeks after the deal was made. By this time the feeling was that I had waited too long to complain. So, I will keep the lens and deal with Canon. However, I have not been able to contact this seller again to get the receipt as was offered. I have therefore to bear the cost of repairs.
I would recommend asking about the specifics of any purchase you make from him just for clarity and don't expect to receive much after you've paid.
