A while back I was looking for an online printer who prints on fine art papers, so I posted a thread in the printing forum. I was going to print a series of 12 BW prints for personal use, so I wanted them to look a certain way.
Tony responded and said that he had an Epson 2400 (which was perfectly suitable for what I was looking for) and that printing was his hobby.
So I contacted Tony via email and we discussed a few paper options. Tony asked that I send him a file and he would send me a sample to make sure that I was happy.
He sent me 3 different paper options. I chose a certain paper, ordered it online, sent it directly to Tony along with the files needed to be printed. A few days later, they arrived at my doorstep.
OK, thats what happened, and here is what I learned about Tony:
1. He is a stand up guy, true to his word.
2. He is meticulous in his work. The prints I received were PERFECT in everyway. No shortcuts.
3. His packaging is superb, its as if he were sending the prints to himself.
4. He is EXTREMELY generous. He refused to accept any money from me for shipping/time/ink useage.
5. He is a hell of a nice guy.
It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Tony outside of the FM world. He is an asset to this community.
