those are very funny

in japan the clows are called "piero" (from Pierrot the clown) and are usually very gifted and well trained ... you can find them in many public places and they get a nice audience with stunning acts ... they are artists and dedicated to it !

That "real" look perhaps comes from shooting JPG only with an 8 Mp camera.

It has nothing to do with JPG or RAW. Ducks have always been the measure of reality.

BTW, should I buy a 200/2.0 now, or will it get upgraded soon with those new technologies?

200/2.0 was released in 2008 while the version before was released in 1988 so I imagine it still has a long life before the next upgrade. Buy now, you won't regret it. Unless you decide to sell it, like I did... That is one thing I regret.
