Maybe your and my interpretation of "pano" is different - I expected a noodle, or a two-dimensional stitch

these are 2-dimensional stitches.. I took 24-28 pics for both of those, standing in one spot with focus fixed. Stitched 'em, and voila! The desired outcome is the appearance of a ~50mm f/0.12 lens

Damn. The people sat that still? I have shot many 2D panos, but never with people as the main subject (nor with the 200/2 - but the 400DO )

That's crazy.

Hat's off to you. (The hat is on the floor, with my lower jaw.)

Not what I've heard about Canadians and long winters, where men are men and the moose are nervous.

Great plane! I would check your AF Microadjust though? Looks very out of focus

Because the 1.4X change the optical path of the lens so AF microadjust custom settings for the combo will help get optimal AF

Thanks Peter and Andrew. I had to crop this a bit but the composition's the same. I tried it with a 300 and found it a wee bit too tight. Maybe a 250mm would be better?

Does anyone have examples/experience using this lens with Canon 1.4x converter? That puts it at 280mm..

1.4x TC does alright. To regain full frame sharpness, you need to stop down an additional stop (to f/4).

In Paolo's case, I'd just simply shoot the scene, then crop.
