Very nice can't believe we have actually been able to see the moon the last couple of days, was thinking about heading to Kerry Park or Snoqualmie Falls for the moonlight but didn't materialize
Thanks Mike and I did consider that, but it felt a little off as well. I also liked the fall off in the moon light in the upper half although hard to see in this crop. I have another shot that's a tighter but less water. So I kept as is.
Ray I do love it when we get those clear nights. In this case the moonlight actually woke me up. I thought about just rolling over and going back to sleep, but I thought this might work for the weekly theme shot.
This is a lovely shot. I would have liked to have tried a moonlit landscape, but we had a brief window of moonlight. This fits the theme very well, nice exposure.

Thanks and I realize the comp could be better, but as you stated the moonlight on the water makes it. A foreground object like a ship would have helped or I could have relocated to get a more interesting angle, not going to happen at 3am. I even considered including the moon and decided against it since the assignment was about the light and not about the moon for me.
However this assignment does make me realize the possible uses of moonlight in images. And I hope I will be more aware and intentional in its use in the future.
