You have to wait for a super clear night, and use a remote shutter release + shutter lock to minimize ALL and ANY vibrations. If you can control all of this, then moon shots come out pretty nicely!
Hmmm... the 1D mark III (yes III) looks pretty good. Hehe... gotta save my pennies. Maybe I'll get it for myself for my 40th birthday! (that and the 800mm) haha!!
