I did, I posted some images and my experiences earlier on this thread. Reasonable IQ but dog slow AF.
Also I just tried two 1.4Xs (Canon & Kenko) on my 500 f4.5L and it AF'd decently with good IQ. That same combo was terrible on the new 70-200 both IQ and AF speed. My only explanation for that is maybe the new AF software or whatever in the 70-200 is incompatible with the Kenko.
I missed it - thanks. Well, it was just a thought but come to think of only the 1D series can actually auto focus @f/8 so it won't work for me anyway (7D&5DII).
Is that right out of the camera? Any sharpening? That's pretty amazing results with a zoom and the 2x TC.
That's really amazing. How does the AF with the extender interact with the Mkiv AF on this? I'm planning on using it with my mk3 and would think that they would be approximately equal in performance.
