It looks from the given shooting distance, that the Down Tilt (up or down), the DOF was affected, but not by much to bring the upper and lower books into focus. Did you use maximum Down Tilt in PIC # 4 ?
At what aperture were these PICs taken ?
Also, can you increase the shooting distance in order to determine a more effective DOF increase (if at all) ?

I did not mean to bring the upper and/or lower books into focus. Just playing with the Tilt function to see the effect on DoF.

Just started playing. I have yet to discover what it can do. I need some more time on my hands.
