The Rodenstock 4x Aspheric Loupe will minimize stray light even against very bright backgrounds. The base is built with a sliding hood that easily converts the loupe from 73 x 52mm opaque (for viewing film) to clear (for prints or ground glass focusing).

I surprised this is still here! I have this loupe and prefer it to my Nikon when viewing slides on my light table. Very sharp.
