Of interest to the 18 landscape crowd:
Cokin Z-Pro filters work on the 18 with no obstruction. You have to file the inside of the adapter ring down so that the back of the ring can mount flush with the front of the lens. A half-round file followed by medium grit sandpaper followed by fine grit sandpaper and then steel woll will get you a nice smooth finish on the inside, with no "grabbies" left over. I'm going to put a little flat-black paint on the shiny metal to eliminate any flare that might otherwise occur.
There's a nice set of light-, medium-, and dark ND grads that come in the Cokin kit, along with a wallet to hold everything. These are resin filters and so must be handled with care.
I suspect the LEE system would work just as well. LEE filters are more expensive than Cokins, and being unsure if the 100mm filter holder would work, I went the cheaper route.
Needless to say, now that I have everything set up to work together, we are without sun for the next couple of days...
