p.1 #1 · FT: D700 System for MF Digital

Would anyone be interested in trading a like new D700, with 14mm F/2.8, 24mm F/2.8, 50mm F/1.4 and 85mm F/1.4 for a Medium Format digital system? A used ZD system would be the ticket, or something similar. Mostly, I am looking for something with a chipset of 36mmx48mm or larger, none of the earlier 36x36mm systems. Also looking for something that works untethered.

Its a long-shot, but maybe someone out there is looking for a very good do anything system in place of the larger and clunkier MFDB set-ups.

Thanks
Steven

Would be interested in the 14 and 24 if you plan on selling those outright

Not interested in a sale at this time, just seeing if there is a possibility of a trade.

Off topic: Disappointed with full-frame resolution? I've never seen a MF digital image in the flesh, are they that much more impressive?

Yes, but not at ISO's over 400...

Only seen them on the web. Waiting on the lottery to fund my 'blad 60Mpix.

Not so much as disappointed, as just wanting more. Mostly, I have an E420 for small scale things, and having grown my workflow around large format 8x10s, a digital back on my cambo 4x5 will work much better than the D700 on the same system. The E420 stays for events and real estate work, and the digital back goes for architecture and portraits. Besides, the D700 really needs a home with someone who can use its features a bit better than me. I think I am a bit more patient than its target audience, and I never use this thing about 400 for any work, and would love to have an ISO 50 again, and hopefully an ISO 25 native. Studio lighting with shallow DoF on location; This is where the larger sensor with less light gathering really comes into its own, and its what I love to do.

FYI, ZD system won't work with most 4x5s because there is no sync cord ability with the ZD back.

Mamiya is supposed to make an adapter plate but it hasn't appeared yet.
