p.1 #1 · more peafowl babies

Summer in my garden is not only black snakes (saw 3 yesterday beneath the oak tree by the creek!), various marsupials, water fowl but also chicken hatching time.

Thanks for commenting, Anthony.

I'm not a crooked crop man myself either, but it has more to do with my big fat Xmas stomach on the uneven ground and me trying to hold my brick (MkIII with 70-200 f2.8 IS) as close to the ground as possible while focusing, than a deliberate crooked crop!

Charles,

I for one know how fast these little guys can be & how hard it is to be down low enough to get on their level. I had one in my garden over the summer.

Hard work to get these I know. # 12 & 13 are my favorites but I'm thinking about the horizon line in # 13.... To each his or her own...

Charles, 11 is my fav as it is sharp where it should be sharp but similarly to Ant the crooked crop doesn't quite work for me. Nice series overall.

Thanks for commenting Lil and Mirek.

The crooked crop sure hasn't been popular. But it's not my fault. It's just the angle that my Xmas stomach made with the undulating ground. I didn't even notice it when posting the photo.

Great Chic series Charles, they can be very difficult to photograph running around with their cute little legs.
