While I think I have taken "better", this one is my favorite for the year. Took off on impulse after Super Bowl weekend to catch the break between storms over Yosemite.
This was a real treat at Tunnel View while we watched the colors & light develop.
This is my favourite... it's a bit of an oddball, but there's something about it that I find mesmerising, I've probably spent more time staring at this shot than any other this year, which is odd given it's limited visual pallete:
This last year has been fantastic for me, photographically. I got to take some amazing trips to the south and northwest. I really couldn't pick my best shot, but I think this is my favorite, at least for now. Excuse the slightly-crappy jpg version, I'm on a different machine and don't have access to the original. For those curious, this is approximately 100mp worth of data.
Last May was my first trip ever to Monument Valley. The last morning we caught a fantastic sunrise at the Mittens. Yes, this is a cliche, but dammit, it's MY cliche
Thanks for sharing your year-end pics! I learn so much by looking at your work. Here is my favorite, though it pales in comparison to the rest of the images here!
2008 was not a very productive landscape year for me because I was far more involved in people photography enjoying myself immensely.
One of my personal favourites is this one. It was a magical day and although it is impossible to capture the beauty of this place in a photo I hope it gets close.

Some truly inspiring shots in this thread, makes me want to pick up my camera and go travelling.
I didn't do much dedicated landscape photography but this shot has for some reason become one of my favourites - which is a bit odd since it's in BW and taken very close to home right next to the freeway...
