There is some amazing talent in this forum I have nothing to add to this thread, unfortunately. I rarely ever shoot wildlife, as I don't have the equipment for it. I lean more into portraiture. Just wanted you all to know I've learned a lot from you and I truly admire your work
This Steller's jay is probably my favorite - he's so skittish and gets chased off by the scrub jays all the time in my backyard, so I was happy to get this pose (even though I clipped his tail):
I saw several people came in with a second posting... here's mine. I wish you all great happiness, perfect health, fast glass, and spot on focus in '09.
Well, here comes round 2 for me.

I shot these caspian terns from my kayak this summer. The pair stayed around for most of the season yet I could not confirm that they were breeding - certainly I never saw chicks. If they were breeding, they would be the only reported breeding pair in my region of Ontario... That, is fairly exciting.
These are the rocks I have been paddling/boating by for years as I've grown up - the image is special to me. I hope you enjoy also!
Always amazed at the quality of the captures on here, amazing work folks! My skills have a long way to go but I did like this one from early in the year..
