Thank you, John! I'm glad you like it as well as the other one.
My lighting work is always very simple because I own no real equipment other than an onboard 580 EX flash. Most of what I do is done in natural light. For this, I set up two dining room chairs about a foot apart out in the back yard and covered them with black cloth/ Then, I put a piece of clear glass between the two seats and set the violin down on one chair with the scroll resting on the glass. That's it. There were a few tiny specks of dust to clean up off the glass in PS later. Someday, I'll get some cool lighting equipment like Vipermike, Jim Markus, or Bev Guhl but for the time being, everything is improvised. Of course, if I ever do acquire some real lighting equipment, my photos will probably go into the tank.
