Selling some of my canon gear to finance a 5dmk2 (possibly a 1dsmk3 if price is right) :
I got a 1dmk3 to replace my 5d but I realized that I like the FF field of view and the 5dmk2 is a better fit for my needs so here it is:
I have a brand new in box 1dmk3 for sale serial 566xxx have taken ~300 shots with it to verify it. I've only unpacked the body, battery and charger. Amazing camera, extremely fast and accurate focus, amazing body and fast FPS (tested only single shot, not tracking as I don't shoot sports).
(LAST PRICE DROP also up for trade)
1dmk3 - $3400 Canadian or $2800 USD shipped to anywhere in Canada or continental United States. I would consider a trade for a mint 1dsmk3 (I would pay the diff) or a mint D3.
(SOLD) I have a mint 5D 15-20k clicks (2 years old), has a small scratch on the LCD (only visible when light reflects on it at an angle does not show in regular conditions) and minor hot shoe scratches. There is some dust on the viewfinder, and maybe on the sensor but personally I am not bothered by it. It works perfectly and is tack on with all my lenses. Takes amazing photos (it pains to let it go). Has the grid focus screen installed (Ee-D) and comes with an extra battery (canon original). Comes with the box and all accessories.
(SOLD) 5d - $1450 Canadian or $1250 USD shipped to anywhere in Canada or continental United States.
16-35f2.8 mk1 - mint condition, glass is clean (a filter always on the lens), amazing colors and sharp enough on my 5d, comes with hood and bag no box.
16-35f2.8 mk1 - $950 Canadian or $800 USD shipped to anywhere in Canada or continental United States.
I accept money order, check, paypal echeck, add 3% for any other paypal payment method or cash for local pickup. (I have to wait for it to clear before I ship)
NOTE: I have to wait for funds to clear for all forms of payment except cash before I ship the item.
I will ship the items by regular mail (Canada Post/USPS or UPS) insured for the full amount and provide tracking. If you want it faster it will be extra. Combined shipping as well as local pickup will save some cash.
NOTE: You are responsible for any duties and taxes incurred if shipped across the border. Please inform yourself if there are any! Normally when shipping to US from Canada there shouldn't be, but please make sure!
I have sold on this forum but it was a couple of years back before the official feedback system so I don't know if you can find my old feedback. My ebay feedback is 100% but I have not sold any photo gear on ebay. Ebay user - "dnenciu".
As for duties you do get tagged from time to time but if shipped via UPS ground you will with no doubts on any items greater than $200. Most of the time the import fee is low but UPS gives it to you on the back end for a brokerage fee. I had a couple of filters shipped, price was $250. Import tax was $8.75 UPS Brokerage fee was $39. UPS goes over everything with a fine tooth comb so they can get their brokerage fee. The package went from Alberta to Buffalo NY in a day, then took 2 weeks to finish the journey that I can drive in 6 hours because it sat in Buffalo until they processed the import. On the other end of the stick I have bought a few high dollar lenses that were shipped via canada post for a lot more and there were no fees.
