Hey there my FM family! I won't bore you with all my vacation photos, but I do want to share a few pics from our recent trip to Northern Virginia. My wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary, and since the kids had some time off from school for Veteran's Day, we decided to go visit my brother's family.
Thanks for viewing.
Tim
1. Here we are at Great Falls. So many great picture spots in this location. My brother said we had missed the peak colors by about a week or so, but it was still beautiful! http://timhpark.com/images/Virginia-24.jpg
I must admit when I saw the subject line I immediatly thought I was going to see snap shot like pictures. These are excellent and something that I am sure your family will keep forever to remember the moment.

Thanks, bugspit! I'm glad the title didn't scare you away
Great shots Tim. You know I always look forward to your posts. #1 is an awesome family shot. I love how everyone pops out from the background. Great tones as well. #2 is great because you can really feel the fun you were having with your kids. It's great to see you in front of the lens. I really need to start getting myself involved in some shots with my family too. Great work.
Man Tim, that first shot is great! Everyone looks so comfortable in their posing, and the composition is perfect.
Of course, the moment caught in #2 fantastic... but, I feel a slight crop would be beneficial.
Also, the blue from the sky peaking through the trees distracts me just a little. Maybe you could just selectively reduce the blue in that area?

Oh, and congrats on the 10 years!
Robert.
Robert, I've been so busy lately that I haven't taken many family shots at all. This trip was the perfect opportunity to turn the camera back onto my own family! Thank you very much for the anniversary wishes!

Looks like a wonderful family, and a nice trip.
Jake, thank you very much for the thoughtful comments! Thanks for pointing out the blue in the sky. I'll fix that. I want to print this and hang it in my den. I'll play around with the crop!
