This is a long shot at best and while shipping a used printer is a PITA, does anyone in the frozen North happen to have an Epson 3800 they're looking to part with to say fund an upgrade? If so, drop me a line.

Thanks

Have you looked at a refurb on the Epson site? They're about 900 USD w/ inks

Took a peek at Epson Canada site, but no joy. A refurb has it's merits, but at $900 it's only $200 off the typical US new retail price.

Conner...sorry I'm not going to let go my 3800, but I ordered mine through a higher-volume PC shop (Microbytes) in Montreal (where I live). Turns out that many PC shops that carry Epsons can order the 3800 and you should try to see if you can score a better price than some of the photo shops. Of course it'll depend on where you live and shipping if you're away from the large city centers.
