I will be getting one soon, I'll let you know as soon as I get it. I thought manual covered it all though, at least that was a case with my Canon cameras.
Just getting used to mine but so far I've got AF-S set to focus only, AF-C set to focus only, and I float between AF-S and AF-C. I want the camera to lock focus before it fires. Of course the settings depend on whether my subject is moving or stationary. Also, I do rear button focus only, (AF ON button).
I keep it on AF-S about 90% of the time, using only the center focus point. I will occasionally switch to AF-C for the processional, and some of the faster moving events at the reception. thomas
