As photographs (images) I think these are far more interesting than the full color set you posted earlier.
In general a good use of "silhouette" and use of the figure in the image frame.
I think the use of the "pole" as a prop works very well here and the use of the white set and exposure is very good. Much better images than most would likely make given the same set and circumstances. So..."good job."
While I don't expect to ever photograph this subject (or in this style) I can imagine it was a good challenge (photographically) and satisfying to see these nice results.
The images made me wonder how I would approach the same opportunity as a photographer. That is one of the best things about this forum and the occasional diversity of subjects shown here.
Very well done. The compositions, such as #2, where you have wonderful balance in the frame, and #3 & #6, where the hair reflection is the final master touch, are both favourites.
Since they are nudes, maybe a link would be appropriate.
This is a great series of shots. I really like the silhouette concept you developed; the clear heels add some dimension to the work, so I don't think I'd lose them completely (maybe try a couple without and see what you think).
One of the things that stands out for me is the clean lines (and curves) in the images. If there was a way to sneak in a hairbrush to clean up her hair (just a bit) for each shot (understanding how difficult it would be to hold some of those poses), it might be worth it.
I found the biggest problem I encountered with the shoot was deciding the pole placement, close to the bg and I had more light spill to deal with and I had to be careful with the light placement and further away meant more risk of the model exceeding the bg area. I went for closer
The original idea was for no shoes and that would have been the case if they were solid. But i decided that the transparent nature of the shoes made them interesting and that "stripper shoes" do go hand in hand with dance poles, so I decided to go for it.
This was probably the shortest studio shot I have ever done. Once I was happy with the lights, we just worked our way though the more interesting poses of the previous shoot, plus a couple of new ones. Blinking and strange expressions were not a worry here
We could have done many standing poses but I decided that Julija does such a good job hanging from the pole that anything less was boring and a waste of time.
Also I tend to go off the merits of the photography. So shoes, no shoes, translucent shoes, sneakers It doesnt matter to me as long as the photogrpahy itself is top notch and this series certainly is!
