Wonderful...I'm doing the same with my two older sons of 6 and 8yrs...seems like the 8yr old may favor photography the most. Congrats to you as a great Dad and your Daughter for following you and obvisouly enjoying it along the way.
My fave is #1&2. Wish digital camera was around when I was a kid. Film photography was just too damn expensive a hobby to indulge an 11 year old back then.
Thanks Nobo, I had to pull it's teeth so it wouldn't bite me .
Just kidding. thanks for the look and nice comments.

She certainly has her dad's great eye for composition, though I think to be completely honest your top three images are the real pick of the bunch from a colour/composition/impact point of view! (That's not to belittle your daughters work at all, just that you put up some seriously cool shots there!!)
Great work both of you! (And I hope she doesn't stay bored, I would suggest taking shots like that at her age shows a natural talent - it would be a real shame not to use that!)
Thanks Laurie, glad you enjoy them I'll be sure and post more . you just keep doing those outrageous, photo stacks , you must be a very patient person . wonderful work .

Those are simply awesome shots!I dont think it is possible to get them any sharper!
I am curious to what equipment you used for those.Terry
Terry, All my stuff is done with the Canon D60 and 180 canon macro with or without a canon 1.4x with and without flash.
Thanks Tom,like I said those first three shots especially are great!
I am guessing that the 1.4 teleconverter give you more working distance.
do you use your flash with special brackets or just on your hotshoe?
Anyway thanks again those pics were awesome ,definatly something to
strive for!Terry

Terry all the shots are through 2 to 3 pieces of zoo glass, with angles up to 45 deg. to the glass surface. throw in scratched glass , ice cream and coke smears , you get the picture, the 1.4 is not really for working dist, but more magnification . I always use a single flash either on the hot shoe , or hand held and manually fired with my finger.
Wow I figured shooting threw glass you would have some sort of effect!
You definatly found the right angles.
I am off to the San Diego zoo in a couple of months I will be sure some windex
and paper towels for the coke and ice cream stains lol.Terry

Roy , I saw the shots of your boy's with their camera's good for you. All we can do is plant the seeds and see if they take. Like you I wish all my kids had an interest in photography but for now only one really does . You never know, some seeds just set dormant for a time. . Thanks , Tom
