Im on the HUNT for a 85mm Mk II 1.2 that takes GOOD pictures. It does not have to be PERFECT, the hood doesn't have to be perfect. If the glass is clean, fungus free, no dust/lint, and takes excellent pictures, LET ME KNOW!!!
I am leaving for deployment (in the military) middle of October time frame so this is something Im looking for ASAP but not really looking to pay "FULL RETAIL PRICE", if that is the case, Id buy new and get a full warranty with it.
Canon Fall Rebates generally start in mid October. The 85L was in the Spring rebates and was $175 off. So if you prefer to buy new, wait a couple of weeks and save yourself almost 200 bucks
yeah, I would LOVE to wait but I will be over seas by the time they come out and I will be at the mercy of USPS and all the hands that will touch it from when it leaves the states to me. NO THANKS... Im leaving at a bad time and will miss alot of stuff.
Are you still looking for a Canon 85mm F/1.2L MKII? I have a minty one only take outside twice (to show off of course). It was purchased to take pics of my newborn but I don't find myself using it anymore. I believe it is a little over a year old. When I purchased it, it had backfocusing and so I sent it into Canon and they fixed it and now it is perfect. I mean it. Anyways, shoot me a PM if you are still interested.
