It has digic IV, gapless microlens, lower noise circuits, improved Bayer array, offers ISO 6400 as a native ISO, so I'm guessing it'll be a stop cleaner.
where do you see gapless listed?
the only semi-official thing i saw so far said NO gapless
if what you say it correct then i stand corrected about my comments about the sensor. The sensor would utterly, totally rock then! do you have a link?
same AF after 3 years would be very sad and crazy, but at least for non-sports it should be quite the camera. And perhaps the info here is not correct either and it will be a bit better.
i don't get why they were like we used 5D af since only other choice was the inferior 40D/50D AF or why if the 5D af is better they didnt put that in the 50D when they have the 1dmkiin modules sitting around....
Anyone noticed the graphic of the camera with LCD next to the direct print button?
It looks to me that it operates the live view function when not connected to a printer. I hope that is the case because I am bored with the direct print button moaners here and maybe this will shut them up. I usually forget that there is a button on my 5D that I never use.

ISO speed
(Recommended Exposure Index) Full Auto, Creative Auto: ISO 100 - 3200 set automatically
P, Tv, Av, M, B: ISO 100 - 6400 (in 1/3-stop increments)
settable, Auto, or expandable to ISO 50 (L), ISO 12800 (H1), or ISO 25600 (H2)
Given that the 50D iso is 100-1600 in auto iso and goes to H2 12800, it loks like the 5D2 will have one stop iso improvement over the 50D, likely matching the D3/D700. I cannot wait to see real samples!
All in all, this camera is very bad news to Sony a900!
Two samples from Canon website are just terrible. The portrait is soft
and out of focus and the landscape... is equally bad...
OK, I hope it's the same old story of terrible official samples.
Almost matches the amazing marketing "moon" campaign.

From Where?
The quote below
Canon USA website
The EOS 5D Mark II has a sophisticated AF system consisting of 9 user-selectable AF points, along with a total of 6 additional vertical and horizontal AF assist points. The central AF point is cross-type, and is sensitive to vertical lines at an aperture of f/2.8, horizontal lines at f/5.6. The AF system is also sensitive to its light source, and can compensate for focus errors that can occur when multiple sources illuminate a scene. AF points can be chosen by the photographer using the 5D's multi-controller or preferred control dial. Plus, the EOS 5D features a dedicated AF ON button. ...Show more →
Folks, from the US site (above link) and the Japan site (below)
Canon Japan site
Nine AF points — eight horizontal-line sensitive at f/5.6 and one cross-type, vertical-line sensitive at f/2.8 — combine with six invisible Assist AF points to provide speedy and precise focusing of even fast moving subjects.

haha, yeah i dont know what is up with their samples. I think the 1DsmkII samples were about the only ones they ever put up that looked genuinely awesome, most of the samples they toss up are among the poorer lookign samples ever taken with each body . I wouldn't be worried by them at all.
