I am confused if the 5D Mark II is a full frame camera how come on the canon website it is saying that it is compatible with both EF and EF-S lenses? How is that possible?

Because they made a mistake rushing this out (probably won't be the first or most serious). It is not compatible with EF-S.
This is from the Canon site:
"Compatible with over 60 EF/EFS lenses...."
Does this mean you can use lenses such as the 10-22 on this camera? The camera would have to adjust for the EFS lens to get the image on the FF sensor.
The article points to a Canon "employee", not a Canon engineer....which I suspect would be in Japan, not the UK (??, not clear, but assuming as it was UK Yahoo).
I doubt that many Canon UK employees...paricularly one who speak out to the press in this manner...would have the oportunity to have much direct contact with the Canon engineers.
I give this article the same credence as any guess which we all might have of Canon's engineering capabilities and/or marketing plan.
30+ pages of whining - unbelievable! Canon cannot possibly do anything right and still make money from a product. Invariably someone is going to complain about something. Basically the new body has to be better than the 1Ds Mk III and cheaper than the D700. Go figure! The perfect camera does not and will not exist.
I must tell you, this one is probably my luckiest Photokina ever. Nothing new that would tempt me to dip into my modest gear allowance.
* 5DII would hold some interest for me if they had a 6 point enhanced 40/50D AF system. The way the 5D II comes accross now, either 40D or 50D is a better (more nimble) compact camera solution for me at 1/2 cost.
* The 24L I've got already and perfectly happy with it.
Now, might as well order the 200 f/2 IS with the money thus "saved" before the Canadian $ starts to go banana republic currency again.

As much as I like to get the EOSfun out of Canon, I have to say Nikon's AWB is at least as good. Especially under Tungsten Nikon's AWB seems to be more 'neutral'. I have found the way people like Canon or Nikon colour rendering is for a great part a matter of taste, because objectively the differences are relatively small and careful chosen compromises by Canon and Nikon engineers.
Canon is good in natural light, but not so good in artificial light IMO. Haven't shot a Nikon to compare.

I for one would like to have more AF point but I am willing to wait to see how this thing works. The only oddity to me is if aiservo AF function is improved when tracking an item at up to 30mph 3.9FPS? The only thing I can conclude is that it must just be better with whatever is in there 9cross or only center cross. I cant wait for sample images.
