Is it possible to have a “Transparent Silhouette”?

Fantastic abstract shot, John, my friend! To answer your question: "Is it possible to have a “Transparent Silhouette”?" Apparently, it is. Great work!

Thanks a lot Endre! I’m so glad you like it, I realize that the picture might be a little “too abstract”, but I was really trying to create an image that would demonstrate the differences between opaque and transparent subjects being photographed under the same “Silhouette lighting setup”

Thanks for the nice comments Chelle, I think strong contrast always plays a very important part in a silhouette picture...

I was waiting to ask for your help with another idea using Alex as the model, but you were out all day so I went to my backup plan B…

I hope that as the summer fades away we both will find more time to get creative again…

Fabulous shot! Very well lit. I don't think I ever would've thought of shooting bubbles for a silhouette assignment.
