good lord, you better buy an asbestos suit immediately. This teaser (or similar ones on the japan and european sites) might give you a hint: http://www.canon.com/moon/en/index.html

From what planet are you? Have you been at the moon recently? Anyway we are having EOSfun gossiping and making rumors.
In gene A.'s defense, all we really know is that an "evolution" is "destined", both long-term concepts. We may not see the 5D replacement this millennium.
Well, yes, you're right its crazy all of us posting here when none of us know anything. But the fact we are so interested just points up how frustrated many of us have been with the digital SLR market all decade, either cameras have been far too expensive (1Ds Mark III) or lacking in features (5D not updated with Live View, Sensor cleaner and other mod cons) or have small sensors unsuitable for wide angle photography with proper FX lenses.
Now, after the years of compromise, we have several manufacturers in contention, Nikon's D700 is super, new Sony A900 looks very promising, and now we await Canon's next and hopefully affordable full frame. We will have a real choice, something we have never had before at full frame level.
I'm excited because I reckon within the next few short months I will have a modern full frame camera at last, and if Canon release something good and affordable I will be buying it for sure.
That's why many of us are hanging out here, we are excited!
"Aside from rumors there really is no indication that anything from Canon is imminent."
Well, something is coming out, the Canon Evolution website ads are trailing something, we just don't know what. The 5D is looking very aged now, logically we need a 5D replacement. If Canon aren't replacing the 5D just now (and I am sure they are by the way) then Nikon and Sony will definitely be selling an awful lot of FX DSLRs over the next few months!

The teaser has changed a littlebit. To the site developer: I'll kill you! [Achmed voice]

I wander why you have to plug your patented "EOSfun" in every single thread that you post. Brainwashing? Trolling? It wasn't even funny at when you started it, now it's really annoying. Give a break, mate.
I'll throw out a few more predictions that have been discussed:
35L MKII
24L MKII
Canon continues down the line updating the L primes. This is probably easy to do. I would rather they did something like 100-300/4.
1080p on one of the new cameras. I shoot Canon video and they were quick to push small cams up to 1080p. They did a nice job. 1080p with AF would be a lot more impressive than what Nikon did with teh D90.
The a900 shows why Sony didn't implement video. They need more work on being competitive with still photography. Doesn't make sense to worry about adding video when you haven't got a competitive still image.

Maybe EOSFun can explain why he continues to do this when it obviously annoys so many people.

It's not completely harmless, because it annoys others.

Thank you!
I can't understand why people can't understand that.
I mean it's like farting in a lift... it's not going to kill anyone so it's harmless... except if it's you in the lift with the farter.
It's pointless, obsessive, and very annoying... you'd think the original poster might have caught on... but the persistence despite the annoyance and clear complaints just shows disrespect and rudeness... like the person who farts in a lift... except this guy doesn't even bother to keep it silent... he seemingly is allowed to fart audibly....

Actual IQ remains to be seen, but that DRO sure puts Canon to shame. The DRO "on" image is much closer to what the human eye "sees" (after our brain processes the information) than what Canon/Nikon/et. al. give us.
IOW, high DR scenes are usually a mess. This could be a step forward and something similar may show up on a Canon camera in about 4+ years...

Only a jackass would insult someone in such a way; adjust your behavior. BTW the "EOSFun" torture is annoying to a great many people here, not just me.

Exactly. Persistence in the face of complaints is rude.
