Me, myself and I do agree there are a few people above with no personality at all. I find it even worse some of them are asking for suppression filters. Since that one came from a German member I can't deny my first reaction was a memory to my grandfather and the primary thought: some will never learn.
Huh. Not all germans are like this. You find disoriented minds all over the world. I am german, too. You remember? (of course their is a mixture of french/arabian and welsh blood in my families historie).

Mr. Schmidt, take an example to your fellow German member Ralph. He is polite(German hoefllichkeit), often EOSfunny, he knows what he is talking about, has a very profesional gallery and always is in a good mood here in the forum.
Thank you for that beautifull compliment. You forgott to say I am great looking, too.
But i can be different (not from good looking). Its an issue of online chatting that its easy to hide your real character. Anyway, one can change characters. I was a "messy" person all my life. Next to beeing here looking for a new girlfriend I clean my flat now. I want to offer my next relationship a beautiful living space. She should be happy to stay and live with me and sit next to me on the couch listening Freddys "who wants to live vorever" and S&Gs "Homeward bound". That was why I asked for shutter lifetime. I am getting older and to often I lost a beloved partner. My next one should become old together with me functionally ...

BTW, did anyone notice we just passed the 100.000 clicks on this thread? That's more than the old 5D shutter on average could stand. That is not a rumor but a matter of fact!
Like canon, both of us together did some 42% I guess, Eosfun .
We really should meet in real life ...

Is the next purported announcement date still September 12th? I've been away a few days and thought I might find some new info.
That was what I suggested. The dealer I trust told me that NDA runs out at 12th. And we will get all info then latest. I think it would not make much sense for Canon to wait for another 5 days to do the announcement after. So I expect it before. Thursday often was a welcome day for Canon to announce new stuff. And the not changing moonpic atsrts to become boring, too.

I could be wrong... but I think they're chatting each other up...
That 7D in a Box Picture is photoshopped to add the 7D to the box. The camera shown is a 5D, the top of the real new camera has a different dial, hotshoe and minor changes to button layout.
The picture is not of the Evolution of the 5D that was always Destined to continue the low noise FF revolution started by the 5D and take it to a new, class leading level with its revolutionary sensor simultaneosly nealy doubling pixels while improving high ISO noise in the order of one to two stops depending on ISO setting. Marketing speak I know... (wait till you see the low low shadow noise at lower ISOs and the stupidly clean 6400)....
You will know it when you see it in the next few days.. Hint Hint ;-)

That partner sharing my life with I was talking about of course is the new 5DII
I got wise with the years and stopped believing in character. She just should have a beautifull functionally body. She must not be fully weather sealed, but shut resist some stormy days and at least she should be able to AF upon my wishes. I do not like noisy women much. So that should be part of her character, too. As well as an high IQ.
Of course I know that all new and maybe successfull relationships need some investigation in the beginning. But it should be in the range of a "Volkswagen" instead of a "Porsche".
And she should be so uncomplaining like Tom´s "Wilson", too. Because i like to share my thaughts. In countermove I will accept her little negative obsessions, will touch her body and skin where and how she likes it best and whisper lovely words to her, while we encounter our own beautifull world. Whe will share a great time and be happy together until the end of my/our or her life. Or until I get bored about her and exchange her to a "younger" beeing :P
Canon in a bit of dilemma? They were caught off-guard by Nikon.
I think Nikon may have the upper hand now. This could be the "Stalingrad" of the battle.

Hey, EOS IS not so much fun at the moment!
One can tolerate you much better than RC, soooo.
:-) I can live with that "aero145".

They were caught off guard but the late late late relase of the 5d upgrade suggest that Canon went back to the drawing board.
And now for da release of da secret weapon.
Expect Nikon to go weak at the knees and those who swaped over to d700's to weep openly in the streets
