By God, if I'm gonna burn up my sensor and blow out the shutter, this thing better have 1080p video in stereo with external mic hookup or else! I take that back, it better have 7.1 DD/DTS surround sound recording capability with external mics.
What if the announcement is actually a few days away - during Photokina? Would you guys and girls be a little, shall I say, "disappointed"? All those who keep hitting the F5 button on dpreview, etc ... please remember that your keyboard has a predicted shutter life of only 3 camera releases.

Do you youngins know in the olden days Westfall and Fred M and Phil Askey posted here? Yep, those were the days. We knew how to focus cameras back in the day.......... ISO 400 was a big deal............We had to process each pixel by hand................

ISO doesn't match the size of the photosites relative to the 50D. So no go.

Why would you blow your shutter? How is keeping the shutter open for video any different than keeping it open for a long exposure, like the ones I'm taking right now?

keep it open just to let dust on sensor...thats a fine Idea..then we will have forums about excessive dust bunnies
