it looks good - but who knows for sure. the 17th is supposed to be THE day...
On top of that they are referring to a 4D, 7D and 9D... Three new FF bodies. Interesting. If true, Canon will dominate the FF market again with their offerings

I do. They do not tell anything more than a collection of all the old rumors of the last 2 month (done here or in dprewiew or linked from northside). And they had a link collection showing all old fake pics. They do not know anything either.
Preposters already said it. The flash hotshoe IS sealed. The buttons with that design shape in the body imo have to be, too. Else they would soak any raindrop into the housing. And if that smal line beneath "Canon" indicates a build in flash, it seemes to me to be, too. If it is, they changed the upper opening to a front one. What makes it much easier to prevent water coming in.
What is interesting is that the top of the camera on the canon.com site now looks exactly the same as the top of the camera that has been visible all along on the UK site (apart from the bits that have been simply left off on the UK site like the buttons and hot shoe, but what is there is exactly the same shape).

There's nothing to be cracked from the swf file. These are the two brightest jpg from the swf:
I think a lot of people here confuse the word "evolution" with "revolution". Those who wish for a compact full frame action camera will probably be disappointed.
The 5 in the background is obvious in the last Japanese website shot.
In fact if you look at the area under the bright edge in the top left corner there is definitely the tail of the 5 visible level with the camera body/lens line.
It's clearly visible in that post you point out above but the poster has not drawn a red line around it.
The upper curved part of the 5 is also visible as an edge if you look closely.
My monitor is calibrated so I can see it in the untweaked ones too.

Can be "In order to get everything", could be also, more indirectly, "In order to satisfy everybody".
So it will have great IQ, be weathersealed, pro-AF, 8-10fps, 24mp (+sRAWs 6, 10, 16mp), iso 100-6400 extendable 25-50400, with custom auto-iso, onboard flash (for Brainiac, but hey they say everybody), cutomizable buttons (MLU)...

Maybe they are not gonna replace the 24-70 2.8 but turn it into a 24-105 2.8 IS instead?
Done well that would be excellent. Surely more profitable for Canon in that people are either going to buy one or the other so may as well just make the one.

Great!
But they might have put of the direct print button. And those people who always cried about will find out how usefull it is and start moaning about its lack ...
