Someone else on DPR is saying the translation of the last text is "to accept or catch everything".
Perhaps meaning, solid AF, >20MP with ~12MP sRAW for sports and low-light shooting, weather-sealed, etc.
Possibly a hi-res D3?? type of camera, equally useful for sports, portraits, weddings, and so on. Would certainly be nice.
and
"I am thinking they are trying to say it will over shadow everything or over take everything.."
and
"Maybe. Or maybe it means suited to everything from sports to landscape."
"
those would be nice interpretations, but with all those claiming at most 4fps and not much of an AF change it might just mean to catch everything as in have nice high iso performance and many MP.

The text has more symbols than any before (12). So it's surely not just one word. Or is it?
The text reads as follows:
subete wo uketomeru tame ni
with subete = all; the whole; entirely; in general;
wo = particle
uketomeru = to catch; to stop the blow; to react to; to take
tame ni = for; for the sake of; to one's advantage; in favor of; in favour of; on behalf of;

There are also many rumours saying the weather-sealing is no more than what is on the 50D. Doesn't look as though that is the case - it looks more weather-sealed around the top buttons than the 50D.
Would be nice if they go $3500 and make the camera better spec'd all 'round.

true, the buttons do look weather sealed on the latest pic.
also there is this one guy who also seems perhaps in the know and says it will have a totally new and much better AF system hwoever it won't have the bazillion AF point the MkIV will, nor will it be quite as good and refined or with as many options as in the mkIVs.
and there was one other person who said something about half-way their 19pt AF.
so hard to say. about half the people perhaps appearing to be in the know imply the action shooter would be disappointed in the AF (at least if they are pretty demanding) and half imply that it would be a pretty decent upgrade in AF even if not quite a full-blown 1 series deal.
either half the people are posers or half the people got misleading info or half the people know about one version of pre-pro model and half about another or those donwplaying the AF are just keeping hopes down after the spectre of the mkiii stuff and downplaying it more than they need be. anyway we should see which half were correct very shortly.
