"Anti-Shake feature built-in camera" - So Sony makes the canon body too now?
Just found out google translation is wrong, it does not say in-body IS, it say in-lens IS. As we thought, Canon is not going to offer in-body IS anytime soon.

So why don't you say "if the Olympics is held in China, no one in the world should participate"? What were the four great inventions of ancient China? Paper making, printing, fireworks for celebrations and the compass for maritime explorations.
Carl Zeiss optics are now produced in China and so are the products of many, many other major corporations.
Not too long ago, many say they will not buy Japanese cars and electronic cos they are of cheap inferior quality, no good, etc, etc.. look at what is happening now. Now look further.
Canon (and Nikon) will relocate more and more of their operations to China. It is all about the economies of scale, production cost and the availability of talent pool.
"Made in China" Canons, Nikons, Olympus ... soon to come.

That's a very bad understanding of sensor performance and pixel density.
You may not be right.
There are additional information/descriptions for the new features from the original link.
It states that DIGIT IV can have better noise control than DIGIT III.
Most of you do not notice it as you need to click those headings for further information. And of course, it is written in Chinese.

Aren't they already here? Nikon's already manufacturing some glass in China and I believe Canon is as well. But I agree, all this "if it's made in xxx I won't buy it" crap is just that, crap. First it was Japan, then Taiwan, then Korea, and now China. Not everything coming from China is that cheapo Walmart junk. The majority of our computer components are made in China nowadays. What, you're going to ditch your computer now too?
That definitely looks more like a midrange body with P&S unfavorable pixel/noise ratio mentality than a serious SLR. The same old 9-point AF is rather pathetic. I guess it will be in the same market space as the Nikon D90 whenever that comes out.

EBH
and Unfortunately I bet the D90 will have a ton more features and new AF system as well.
Apparently all the canon engineers went on strike and some guys with a screwdriver put this one together
True ... the 50D specs were at least leaked to us by our Chinese brothers and sisters. So, cheers to them! Well, the 50D will be revealed within a few days, looks like. Good days ahead.
