Yes love my 85L too on my 1ds3 and my old 5D.
A very sweet portrait lens indeed.
Just weird having AF and not shooting in stop-down mode as
I am shooting mostly alt glass now.

It is a fantastic combo the 85L and 5dII. Match made in heaven. I love it.

Burningheart,
You bought and have in your possesion the new TS-E 17L?
You lucky dog!! Pls. post some more with it.
How is the IQ for landscape?
Thank you burningheart. That's a very nice comment. Sometimes we can find a nice motif in the home.
RustyBug, isn't it easier and cheaper to just buy the flower and a nice pot?
You are making a case for me to add another Oly to my bag.
Any decent macro lens should do... I would say the Zuiko OM50/2 is a good lens. Resolution is good to very good while macro contrast is medium, decent bokeh (good for an Olympus), decent CA levels, good mechanical build and fast for a macro. Hmm, not bad at all really.
What you see in the image above is the result from some local contrast enhancement and local sharpening only. A tripod, articulating LCD screen and no mirror flap also helped.
A couple years ago someone (MR?) at LL did a test of many 50's and he chose the Zuiko 50/2 macro. He noted that the pictures from the 50 macro had a special look to them. I had one and was also impressed, but convinced myself I needed something faster

Is it just me, or does it look a little Zeiss-like and a little Leica-like at the same time?
