3 shots from today. 1st shot with the Canon FL 55/1.2 ... 2nd shot with the Rokkor 58/1.2 ... and 3rd shot with the APO-Lanthar 125/2.5 macro.
Is it just me, or does the Sigma 50 f1.4 draw from the Rokkor 58's book of "The way to render butter-smooth bokeh?"
Gotta say I like the FL the best, Bobby Tan. Surprising, considering the fantastic lenses it has been paired against... Just love the way the FL renders the bokeh in such a busy way..

Hmmmm .... different strokes for different folks I guess. I prefer the "less busy" and smoother bokeh of the Rokkor. Having said that, I will probably keep the Canon FL and sell the Rokkor. As a normal lens, the Canon is more practical as it gets very sharp from f2.0 and I can focus to infinity. The Rokkor is only sharp from f2.8 and you cannot get infinity focus on FF which bothers me quite a bit.
Yes. Different strokes, indeed. I thought the FL verged on being horrible. The Rokkor was noticeably better but still not all that great.

m3rocket and burningheart, that Canon 35/1.4L seems to produce nicer bokeh than my 35 Summilux-R, at least in the limited observation I can make here. How is wide open sharpness across the frame? Coma control?
Honestly I hadn't used it much, I had planned on selling it due to lack of use. I usually use the Zeiss ZF 35 but the results of a couple of shots at 1.4 made me change my mind.

That is one exotic Zuiko! So jealous of your collection
Your jealousy is misdirected, it should be towards all those folks including yourself that take such wonderful pictures on this site.

Burningheart, way to make a man jealous!
The 250 looks incredible.
Im also really impressed with the Zeiss 100/2 on g1, colours, contrast and sharpness are pretty superb.
Yes the 250 is fun to use. Finally getting a chance to use it. Picked it up in the winter and didn't have much opportunity to use, but my 5D system is taking second fiddle right now to the G1. I never thought a 2x crop camera would be so much fun, but now that I can use my old FD glass, as well as all my alts (except the 250 haven't got an adapter yet) brings a lot of excitement to such a little package.

Ah, what can one say... The Coastal Optics 60mm macro climbed on my list. Will Santa listen?
Of course he'll listen, but have you been a good boy?
bobbytan - love your shots with the Voigtlander APO
m3rocket - great shots with the 35L
cavewalker - i'll never eat mushrooms again after seeing that shot.Nice picture.
Alex Tokyo - that fondue looks delicious
Anden - beautiful shot of the spectrum on that flower.
Ronan - nice greens in the bathtub of bokeh.
