Paul - which 58? 1.2 or 1.4?

I got a 1.4 last night... can't wait to use it.

It is 58/1.2 .....
My lens is cosmetically very much run-down one.....but it still gives me excellent pictures.

How about sacks instead of a bench?

Nikon D 700 and the Leica Summicron 50mm @ f 2.8 ISO 320 in the narrow main-street of Fatehpur Sikri, North India:

I also wish I could afford Leica and Zeiss lenses, but I gladly stick to the stuff I've got and am grateful to Leitax that I can use my old Leica-R lenses with the D700 and don't have to sell them for ever less money over flea-bay.

Here is one with the first version (SL) of the Voigländer Ultron 40/2 of a sculpture in one of the Frankfurt museums.

I'll take a guess that, the content of those sacks are tasty after boiling.

-ediot-
that was in reply to madamasu's pic.

Can a discontinued non-serviceable Canon super-tele enter the thread?

EF 500mm 4.5L + 40D

Zeiss Biogon 35/2.8 @ f/2.8 on Leica M8:

The rendering of this lens is just fantastic. Smooth and nice bokeh wide open, with good contrast and a very "Zeissish" transition from in-focus to out-of-focus.

I had to B/W this because I wasn't paying attention, and I shot in JPG mode at some ungodly high ISO.

Zeiss 135 on 5D (yes, that's right... 5D! I finally upgraded)
(C/Y Zeiss 135 2.8)

I'm titling this one "CSI: East York"

Again, the Don Valley Parkway... wait... what the hell is that in the upper left??

Thanks... So far, it's been a blessing. I may not have big hands, but the bigger grip is a god send. Gonna take me a short while to figure out the controls... The XT has gotten to be intuitive despite it's poor layout.
