Three aperture leaves? That's cool.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Oh. That's what they look like. I have no experience from those Rollei lenses and somehow I couldn't imagine three blades only. Thank you.

Here is one with a lense that is not yet in the list: CZJ Biometar 120mm with the Nikon D700 @ f 2.8. I wanted to try out, what the bokeh of this lense looks like and that's what I got:

Fantastic! I love the shot and I love the rendering. Very Zeiss-ish actually.

Speaking of Zeiss... 35/2 Distagon @ f/2:

The OOF rendering of this lens is not the smoothest, but the results are almost always stellar. I know of no Nikon or Canon 35 mm lens that is even close to this "style".

Makten, your praises of the ZF 35/2 might end up costing me a bunch of money.

Go buy one and be happy ever after. Seriously; if you like the rendering you've seen here, you'll just love the lens.

Here's another one that might do it for you, at f/2.8...

The transition from in-focus to out-of-focus is just lovely. But the best part is the separation you get even when DOF is quite large.

I removed the duplicates. I didn't even realize I had posted the page 38 one when I did the Page 100 one.

Hey Makten. That's timely that you posted an image with those 2X4's up against the buildings. I was in Sweden (Karlskrona) yesterday and we saw those all over the place. We figured they were to warn people of falling ice/snow from the buildings and icy sidewalds. Just a guess though...

Thanks. I really do like the rendering of the Sigma, not so hot on the corner performance on full frame though.

Yes, that's correct. Some poor guy died a couple of years ago when he got a block of ice falling on him. After that, the owners of the buildings must either remove the snow from their roofs or at least warn pedestrians in this way.
