I am about to pull the trigger on either purchasing PW's or CS. Can we get a definite answer from Paul as to what they can handle in terms of FPS?
As well, has anyone used a Sekonic l-358 connected to a CS Transmitter to trigger a light? That would in effect replace the Sekonic RT-32 Pocket Wizard Module. Just bungee the Tx to the back of the light meter permanently.
Andrew - I just checked for you. In my unscientific test I set Cl to 3 FPS and they were all lit.. at 4 FPS, 5 FPS, and 6 FPS every other frame is lit.... so my guess is about 3 fps.
tech was d300 exosure was 1/250 and flash set to 1/64 so the flash should keep up with more than 4 fps.
Thanks Justin. I believe the PW's do 6-8fps. I will also be running a D300 for the time being, moving on to a D700 or 5D MKII soon depending on what happens with the market over the next 6-10 months.
I can only really think of one instance where I would need more than 3fps, i.e. shooting a runner light by a strobe and stitching the frames together. Anyone else with some thoughts on potential situations?
man you gotta have some serious power to reload 6-8 FPS!!! Ill go back and re-do my test and see if i missed something. IM sure PCB will chime in soon.

re did it --- yea I think its 3 fps.... unless the watch battery in my transmitter is beat.
at 1/16 power with a cpe3 pack, my 580s can go 6fps no problem, thats what i was hoping that cybers could do Skateboarding sequences i guess will have to be shot with PW
Paul indicated on their forum that they may actually up them to 10fps in the future. Lets hope there will be an upgrade option for users just purchasing cybersyncs.. *cough
Still can't see confirmation of a PC Cord jack on the transmitter so I can fire using just a pc cord while I have a flash unit on the hotshoe.
If future versions have the ability to control power for multiple units from the transmitter then Alien Bees will be continuing to make more money out of me!

thank you soo much for the pictures
Paul should give you credits for future purchases !
Ok, is there any thing on the reverse side of the receivers ?
I am kinda of thinking how you mount them if you are using with the
hotshoe flash....
Looks like there is some hole on the side of the transmitter
I take it its the PC cord or radio jack thing.
thanks all the same
your welcome
nothing onthe reverse side, just flat plastic casing that holds the batteries in place.
If your using a hot shoe flash like I am, the receiver will just hang off the 1/8" jack.
Its not the best but they are pretty lightweight. Im looking for something to hold them in. Ill post if i find something worthy.

sorry Beni, if you look at the last pic on the page prior, you'll see a little hole -- that is, i believe a 1/8 mini jack port. the Tx mitter came with a PC to 1/8 jack but no PC to PC jack. I think flashzebra sells them for a few bucks. But to answer your question, yes on my D300 i can use the suppliePC to 1/8 mini and run a flash on the shoe, and fire the Cybercyncs via the pc plug on the front of the camera body.
Oooh nice, might replace my much battered but incredibly good chinese triggers (work incredibly well after being rewired by a friend of mine!). I think I'll wait for the forcast triggers with the ability to control output to different channels, that would be heaven for this location shooter.
paul buff has noted that they have no intention of venturing into the CLS/eTTL realm any time soon. so radiopoppers would be your only choice. Not sure if they are available or not. I know they are awful pricey though.
