have YOU not ready any of the posts? There is nothing in there stating (it shoots through double glass doors)... The guy was just asking a question, if you can't be informative in your response, why dont you save your post?
We can't be the ALL knowing like your self, on every single topic, on this forum........

had mine since its come out and loving it so far.
i just wish there was an actual on and off switch as the receivers turn on when they get bumped in my bag.
so i have to always take the batteries out...
That is the one thing keeping me from purchase. I wanted to keep all my equipment AB... but for the sake of the on off switch, and having to keep up on if I have batteries with me or not - eh... not what I want to worry about in the field.
(shrugs) Overall though, it would seem everyone likes them... esp for the price!
Did you get it to trigger everytime ?. I've tried my friend's Cybersync before but seems it doesn't trigger if it's like 40 feet apart, maybe malfunction units ?

El gatto is hanging out inside the house, and I'm in the yard. Cybersync-ing it up.
Regarding the lack of on/off switch; I just switch it to a different channel when I want to go ambient or on-camera flash only.
Regarding the battery life; I have had mine for at least 6 months and have triggered them at least 2000 times... and they're still on the original batteries. I think I'll replace them just for kicks.
They still could use a better mounting/hanging system. Transmitters and receivers still could use on/off switches. Overall, I'm thrilled with them.
I bought the transmitter and two receivers when they first came out. Overall, I am very pleased with the setup. Of late, my biggest problem I have had is the receivers will not fire. I have to pull the battery out of the receiver and then put it back in to get it to work again. I replaced the batteries with fresh ones, to confirm that the battery was not the problem. This will happen in the middle of shooting, which is very frustrating.
From what I have read here and on the Paul Buff forums, my experience is uncommon.
Other than that, I really like the devices and am very pleased with them.
Why not return it for replacement. They will gladly replace it for you.

How good is this Cybersync ?. Will it trigger through 2 double glass doors ?. Does the Tx and Rx have to be Line Of Sight ?
"Line of sight" means two different things. To some people, it means "in plain view." To radio technologists, however, it means "in a straight line, unobstructed by radio-opaque materials."
So, no, the Cyber Syncs don't have to be visible to each other, but yes, they have to be in a straight line with only minor obstructions like a wall or two between them. The high frequencies at which they operate won't bounce off the ionosphere nor curve in a terrain-following manner as some lower frequencies can, so no hills or large metal objects should be in the way for reliable operation.
Two common glass doors shouldn't be a problem.

I'm kinda curious about this. I don't have one of these yet, but I'd like to know just why you would want to trigger your lights from 1/8 mile away?
I can't imagine a situation where I would need that much range (others may have their reasons), but knowing that they can reach that far would give me confidence that they'd be reliable over the shorter distances that I work at, even with a few obstructions to go through.
