The "C41 weirdness" is the main selling point of this film because it allows ICE-based dust removal. For that reason alone I will always have XP2 on hand.
If Ilford could made a PanF-like film in a C41 process I just might dump all other slow bw films.

True, I totally forgot about the benefits of ICE dust and scratch removal! I think another selling point for the C-41 weirdness is the lack of grain. Despite my somewhat bungled cross-processing experiment, my results were almost grain-free, even when viewed at 300% magnification.

Yes, good point, I hadn't considered that. I am a fan just due to the overall IQ.
I guess I meant that some purists overlook it due to it being C41.
Some more XP2 with the 67. Thinking about it, I don't think I've actually bought it off the shelf myself... Seems like I get this film along with cameras for some reason, and often included in batches of film I've bought off of other photographers. Always seem to have a roll or two around nonetheless
