While I’m waiting for the Lomo 800 to arrive, I was able to pick up some rolls of Lomo Earl Grey 100, Potsdam 100 and Berlin 400 from a Mike’s Camera. The lady at the counter said she really likes the Lomo Berlin 400.
There were some other B&W films as well, Fantôme and Babylon. I didn’t pick them up as they were a bit too slow ISO for my taste (ISO 8 & 13). Looking forward to trying these film out!
What was the colour of the lady's hair? Purple?....
It wasn’t purple, it was more of a orange’ish blond color. She was tall, around 6 feet though. This was at the part of the store where you order prints and have your film developed. Not the main counter up front by the len$e$.
That Berlin has some TRI-X 400 (grain) and TMY TMAX 400 (contrast) vibes to it! What beach is that? I use to frequent Manhattan and Redondo beach when I lived in the OC and LA back in 2007-2010.
Two different Kodak films in two different cameras//two different camera types, but the differences are dramatic!
Photos 1-3 are using a Canon Rebel late-model (I think it was a R11) film camera, and photo 4 is a Rollei Rangefinder film camera (instamatic) with Kodak Portra 160.
I used similar scenes so you can see the difference, primarily between films, not cameras because film cameras are basically film boxes with either cheap or expensive glass.

I think you need a tattoo to shop there.
That's the drum circle in Venice Beach. Taken a year or so ago.
