I just received my Lomo Digitiliza film holder. This thing is fantastic as it uses magnets to hold the film flat and can be used for any 35mm format. I wish I knew about this years ago!! I also got a 120 one which can be used for any 120 format (6x4.5, 6x6, 6x9 etc)
Love that shot Huss. When we were kids we used to start right there, this time of year, running with our kites and by the time we got to the bottom of the hill the kites were flying high.
kwoodard: Thanks for the Win 8 / Win 10 drivers link and also Edward for your comments re WIn10. Looks like I need to get Nikon Scan 4.0 installed on my Win 10 laptop.

I would be interested to buy the 120 one and do you know if it's compatible with the Epson V700 Photo flatbed scanner? I use Better Scanning holders and anti Newton-ring glass at present however a guaranteed flat film would be great if the Lomo delivers.

Huss, Thanks for plugging this film holder.

I'm not sure as I use mine on a light pad with copy stand. But it was designed for flat bed scanners.
I wouldn't wait though, as it seems that production has stopped (at least temporarily) as Lomo does not have it in their regular section, but 'last in stock' which implies a discontinued product.
With the other masks (film holders from enlargers) that I was using, I could see that the corners were not as sharp as the center due to film flatness. This has completely fixed that, plus it allows for any length on film in that format (6x6, 6x9 etc). And it allows for sprockets in the image if you want.
I currently have individual film masks/holders for each format. This product allows me to get rid of all that jazz.
Funny thing is for all the grief that people like to give Lomo, this really is a great product.
1:1 crop from left most edge of the Noblex pano image showing how flat this product holds the film. My previous attempts of capturing pano images by taking two regular 35mm frame shots, then merging, still showed softness on the edges. And that was with a shorter (and thus easier to keep flat) 35mm frame.
The lens I used on my D850 for this capture is the Micro Nikkor 60 2.8 AF-S @ f11, ISO 64

Huss, Thank you very much indeed for responding to my query so promptly, and for more of your own experience with the holder.
I have ordered the 120 holder now.
I have also intended to move to DSLR copying with an LED light table, however I'm still plagued by flicker from the light source impeding my copies. I have had a recommended light table on backorder with B&H however it simply never became available.

No prob. Weird that you have flicker issues. I have two different led light pads and both are fine. One is a Logan A5A, and the other is a much cheaper (and thinner) one that I bought from Amazon:
The only bummer with the Amazon one is it is USB only. I made the mistake of trying to use my Apple USB wall plug and it did not like that. The plug became very hot and the pad turned off. It worked fine again once I plugged it into my computer.

Yep - fully compatible with V700. I just picked up these holders from a friend and they work great.

It should work with the Apple plug that is for the iPad, 2.1amps. The iPhone is only 1amp. Computers are 2.1 amp.
Huss - thanks for the LED light table link. I shall order one.
Kenny - awesome flower shot that really extols the beauty of MF rendering. Makes me wish I had not sold off my P67 II although I've bought back a perfectly good P6x7 MLU that netted me about Aus$600 all up.
rattymouse - nice wide-angle footwear shot!
...This is against the spirit of the thread in that, like my last few posts, it isn't a recent shot, however I did scan it in last night.
Another shot, this time probably taken last quarter of 1979, or 1980.
The slide has some fungal spots, so the scan has worked out pretty well considering.
EDIT: Turns out I had framed this slide in a glass-mount. The fungus or whatever was on the glass exterior, now cleaned and re-scanned without the glass (this is however the original scan image).
