Jon, I like your summitar series...especially the last one. I had a summitar (on a iiif) for awhile and sold it...the one lens I regret selling. Looks like you've got a great copy.
Thank you Dave. This lens really has a special rendering. The copy I have came on a single owner 1952 iiif in like new condition. The body had aged due to sitting idle for years and required a new shutter as the rubberized silk shutter cloth had degraded but otherwise, lens and camera look like new. It was purchased by a US serviceman post WWII.

yep...this lens has more of that 'Leica glow' than I've seen from others...a unique blend of imperfections and character...
Took the dogs for a walk at dusk the other week. Most were shot at or near wide open at slow speeds due to failing light. Fuji xtra 800, leica iiif, summitar
Picked up a bulk roll of some expired 2011 Kodak WL Surveillance Film 2210. It is an iso 400 speed film on estar base. No marking whatsoever on the film however this appears to be Tmax 400 emulsion. Data sheets look very good. Anyways, finally spooled a roll up and tested a roll this weekend. Developer was d-76 at recommended times. Camera was Leica iiif with summitar and yellow filter. Pakon scanned. Exposure guessed. Virtually grainless and looks like tmax to my eyes. I need to do some thorough testing with this film. Here is one from the first roll. Another 90+ feet of film to shoot!

Wow! That film does look great! I always like seeing film developed in D76 as it is the stuff I have available to me (for free). I have a huge backlog of film to develop... I might have one of the advanced students do it for me.
Great scans Jon. Rollei SL66 / 80mm/2.8 lens with HP5 developed in XTOL scanned with my Nikon Coolscan 9000 - the last three images are taken with Lomography 800 film - a very grainy film I have to say but I got it so cheap that it was worth it.
