Hi Wyan, great X-Pan images, glad to see you back here!

Hey folks, quite some time ago since I visited this thread. Wonderful atmospheric pictures!

Andi,

Nice to see you around, always! I may get into digital again but I guess I will never be able to give up films. Cheers!

I've taken these at the Michigan Central Depot (Detroit, MI).

Very nice angeloks. Out of curiosity, what film were you using?

Thanks ! I ran out of Ektar 100, so this was some Fuji Superia 400 from the nearest pharmacy.

Hmm. Seemingly emblematic of Detroit, generally.

Some fantastic shots in here. Makes me really positive about film's future. I currently have a load of it in the freezer/fridge which i will gradually work my way through over the next few years. Got lots of 5x4 to use and also lots of 120-220 to get through too. I am however without a 220 back for my hasselblad so i need to source one of them before i can use it.

fuji acros, thrice (very nice snaps, btw). it's given me pretty fine grain. but more important question, how did you develop the FP4? i will get a fair amount of grain from FP4 in Rodinal, but less in HC-110, for example.

Hey Mike,

Thanks for the advice, I actually had the lab develop and scan it as I'm not set up to develop my own at the moment I will definitely ask them how they developed it.

I'll have a look at the acros

thrice - grain can be magnified by scanning, especially low res scans. FP4+ should be reasonably fine grained. Same with Plus-X. They are still traditional B&W films though, so will have more grain than T-grain films like T-Max 100, Ilford Delta 100, and Acros. You might also want to try the new T-Max 400, which is supposed to be very fine grained and quite good.

I like the 2nd photo a lot.
