How long do the diluted chemicals last? I read that the shelf life of these chemicals is much shorter. Do you wait until you have 8-10 rolls to develop and then just blast through all that to consume the chemicals quickly? I want to do C41 but have to wait until I get enough rolls in the pipe line before I can safely make the solutions and use them before they go bad.
I went through about 5 rolls of 35mm, 10 rolls of 120 and 5 rolls of 220 in the span of 7 months. It did not look like it was slowing down at all. From what I've heard, you can get up to about 30ish rolls in if stored properly.

From my experience with the tetenal C-41 press kit (basically the same as the unicolor kit) They are good for about 6 months or 20 rolls before there is any effect on chemistry effectiveness. Keep in mind that how you store the chemicals and where you live also affect the lifespan of the chemicals.
That'sy experience. I have probably gone up to 30 rolls but am adjusting times longer. Best results are fresh rolls. I usually go about 20 rolls now before startim g with a fresh batch. Tom, you will burn through that long before the chems die. Never had them go bad on me.

Hey guys! Remember me asking earlier about exploring Medium Format and looking for my first MF camera? Well, today was my lucky day. I cleaned up a local camera shop of their Pentax 6X7 camera and seven lenses. The photo store said the previous owner was a surgeon who traded (for store credit) the gear in because he finally stopped shooting film.
I was looking for a used 67II with the 90/2.8, but Ebay was the only place to find them...and they were pretty pricey. The 6X7 camera at the photo store was selling the camera body with any three lenses as a complete kit. The other lenses were available to purchase separately. Long story short, the store made me a super deal I couldn't refuse for the camera and all of the 6X7 lenses.
The only thing is, I really don't know which lenses are keepers and which are lackluster out of the lot.
Any ones which I should keep and which to sell? What other lenses would you recommend?
I picked up some Portra 160 and Fuji Pro-H 400 to hopefully shoot this weekend...if the weather fairs well. I'll take a gear shot and post it in the Alt Purchase thread in the next day or so. I'm super excited. Now I need to invest in a 120 scanner.
Spent Saturday scanning in old negatives to test out my "backup" Coolscan 8000 scanner. I am not sure why but it does seem to be a tiny bit sharper than the Coolscan 9000 that I usually use - I think that it may need a clean. Originals at https://www.flickr.com/photos/nico1974

I've been away too long but I'm back for now. Here are some from Turin, Italy from november or december..anyways. I have some more from Italy, and a lot more from Colombia. I shot almost all film there.
