That is exactly what I plan to do next time...rinse with distilled water. We have Photoflo and I used it, but it is made with the same water as tap. We also have a drying cabinet that I used, not sure if that was the source of the dust. It seems to be random on where the dust has settled on the film, so I am at a loss.
I did adjust the developing time for the higher temps. Once I get a shot uploaded, you will see what I mean. It might be D76 and the Ilford FP4 not being a good match. I will let you see what I mean. I will post the dirty one too....Show more →
The drying cabinet was most likely the source of your dust when I was at college many years ago had exactly the same problem and the dust then dries into the emulsion and is almost impossible to remove - if you can hang it in the cabinet but do not switch on the fans/heat just let it dry naturally overnight.

Awesome 4 x 5 shots Kenny. Did you need to get permission to use a camera like that at this museum?
Nah, this place is pretty laid back and the 'venues' have a lot of room so I'm not really getting in anyone's way. I still ask before entering; difficult to sneak a view camera on a tripod past the front desk.
Thank you for the likes (and comments kenj8246 and rattymouse) on my latest Velvia 120 upload.
We are fortunate that our generally pollution-free skies away from our major east coast cities give us saturated blue skies, something Velvia doesn't really need in the first place! I'm slowly improving my scanning technique and this time the scans were done having first adjusted the tonal range at the Epson-scan stage: see (http://www.kenleegallery.com/html/tech/scanning.php). I then added +12 to the imported file colour in LR.
kenj8246 - I'm very envious of your access to those brilliant warbirds from two different eras. The quality of those 4x5 images makes it very tempting to explore large-format, but I must resist.
rattymouse - I must try Acros. I love the subject matter you shoot
scottsouter - lots of great Velvia saturation in your image!
Wow guys nice work!!
Tom,that astia is really something..I like it
Jon,nice catch on the black cat
Kenny, after I finish with my delta 100..I will give the Tmax a try Really smooth shots.
