Just got a scanner, this one turned out nicer than the lab. I also tried scanning the sand pics but they turned out horrible. The tones were all mushed and the colours were funky. Sorry its a double post, I should have a new roll in a few weeks.

Nice! Quick Question for you. I am thinking about going the Costco route myself. Did you just scan the print from Costco, or the negative?
Hi there, give a costco a try its really cheap.
They develop my negatives for like $2.00
and I scan them at home same day.But only for c41 negatives and they wont accept non c41 because of the chemicals they use.Good luck.
My water photo above is a costco dev and scan. $5.26 including tax. Done in an hour, and I think worth getting their scan even if you plan on scanning the negatives yourself later.

Yea, I am definitely going to give Costco a try. Unfortunately, the Costco around me doesn't do scans, just developing and printing. They used to do scanning, but had a software "upgrade" and can no longer scan.
Here is the expired Pro Gold 100.. 1997. Rolleiflex 2.8C
There was some color correction on this one, in PS not too bad for 18yr film.. I liked this one the most and it turned out well.
I had some other 35mm to scan still if I can find the film holders for it...
I went to a local cruze-in car show last Saturday. There was two '63 Plymouth Sport Fury Max Wedge cars there. Both black, and both beautiful. "Back in the day" these cars where the fastest thing on the road. These cars made the 409 Cheveys and the big Fords run and hide.
This is a car that I haven't seen before. 1939 Studebaker Dictator coupe.

Scanning old images for possible use in a new book. I'm always surprised at the ones I never saw when I shot them. Anyhow, this was shot in Hazen, Nv. about twenty miles west of Fallon. Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt are very likely two of the best songwriters to ever come out of the state of Texas. Townes died in '97. Guy is still with us and still writing great songs.
Fantastic portrait here! Really great work that shows what film can do.

They could walk out of that photo.. sorta hyper-real film shot, 3Dish. Quite amazing photo.

Do you guys use yellow filter as a default when shooting blk/wht outside ?
My yellow filter is always on when shooting blk/wht as a general/candid shots outdoor.
