Thanks for posting
Dan
Thanks for the kind words Dan, most appreciated here..
Here is the "beast", certainly not a beauty queen, but it gets the job (somewhat?) done. I made up a lensboard last evening out of model aircraft plywood, drilled, routed, and painted. The Dallmeyer lens (f7.5, No.5 Series III) is now mounted, so I will try it out this weekend. This morning I found a guy on the "auction site" that makes a large variety of lensboards (wood & metal), so I sent an order in for one to fit a Copal #1 and jam nut. I have a Linhof-select 180mm that has a bad shutter and needs a new home...we will see.
Another from the RB, out at the Pomfret School (CT).

Really nice images...from the city of Saint James the Great?
Dan: I had four holders in the original case, and bought three that were actually new-unused in boxes yesterday from a gentleman up in Wellesley, MA. I also bought a beautiful wooden tripod that works/matches my 5x7 Century folding view camera. He had just sold a Kodak 2D 8x10, with reducing backs (5x7, 4x5) about an hour before I arrived...it would have taken a ride back to CT in the XC70, but time waits for no one...
I do not think that a standard holder (plastic/metal... maybe a wooden one) could be modified because of their inherent construction. I'll take a look at some of the completely wooden ones that I have here, and let you know. My thing is, what is your (my) time worth to refit stuff, verses a purchase and knowing that it will work. I am a pretty good fabricator with metals/plastics/woods, but I weigh my "time-on-task" carefully before the lathes or milling machines get turned on.
I'll post some GW690II shots in a bit, as the negatives are almost dry/relaxed in the rack.

Expired Ilford FP4 plus exposed at iso 80-100, developed in HC110 dilution H. Little light leak at the top, from messing around in the changing bag. My late father's 60-year-old Zeiss Ikonta M 524/16 folder with Tessar 75mm F3.5. Scanned with Nikon Coolscan 8000.

Paul, great to see these images using your Dad's gear; I do the same, almost on a daily basis. The B&W most definitely fits the mood of the scenes.

wide open, metered via Sekonic 758, I think this works MUCH better than the prism AE meter
the vignette is mine, I added it.

Yes, most of my shooting takes place in Santiago de Compostela, where Im from. Since I became a dad I cant travel at all so i have been wandering my home town for te last three years. I feel quite lucky as it is a amazing city for a street photographer, no complaints at all.
Would anyone be interested in purchasing a Nikon CoolScan 8000 ED? Thinking of selling mine so would like to gauge interest before putting it up in B&S
