I've been interested in the R system for years, then I got the opportunity to test some lenses adapted and was impressed , so why not get the real stuff. I also got the R6 wich is light and small compared to the bulkier R8. I spend this summer getting used to the system.
Had a bit of fun today with the Linhof Technika setup as a big point & shoot cam-coupled rangefinder, with a 6x12 roll-film back and left-hand grip/w release. This is Roseland Cottage in Woodstock, CT. I used a 75mm SA-MC, set at f16, with a K2 (yellow) filter, using Tmax 100. Souped in Tmax developer, scanned with a Canoscan 9000f, running with VueScan, tweaked in CS6 Extended .
Earlier this summer, I decided to try my hand with some 35mm IR film (old frozen stock from the auction site), and it was interesting. I found out that my T-90 (plastic body) was not IR safe/proof, and it allowed fogging across the entire roll. I would expect the same for my EOS 3, so I ended up using the EOS 1V (metal body) with no issues. These were taken with a Canon FDn 24 f2 (and 25R filter) that Ed Mika personally modified for use with EF mounts for me a few years ago, when he was getting started with his wonderful conversion kits. For me, the golfball-size grain is okay every now and then, but like shooting with a fisheye lens, it can be overdone. Scanned with CanoScan 4000US (running Win7 64 Bit and SCSI) and VueScan64 Pro.

Edd
