I get bc error when using non Canon lenses via adapters!
Bummer deal!
I am also getting this error with Kenko extension tubes, not good at all!
I see a switch on the inside of the camera lens mount.
Playing around, I see it needs to stay in the position it's currently at, open?
What is the purpose of this switch?
I guess I will have to wedge it, somehow...
I do not like this at all, missed some really good film shots, sigh...
Luckily I had my 5DMkII there.
But still, NOT the same, damn it!
Yes, I'm an EOS3 user but use it very seldom, so have just been reminded (when I tested) of the same error, using an FL55/1.2 with the Ed Mika brass adapter sold on eBay.
I've just fitted a Summcron-R with Leitax adapter and same problem - 2 shots wasted on a new 36 exp roll of Provia!
Tried it once later with a Rokkor PG 68/1.2 converted to EF and with FC chip. That worked fine.
Woo!
Mint Franka Rolifix I 6x9 folder on it's way!
Really wanted a Bessa II with a Heliar, but this came up, and I figured I had to get it while the getting is good...
I dug this one up a couple of weeks ago and scanned it. I remember shooting it back in the mid to late '70s near Tuolumne Meadows. Probably Ektachrome 64 if that was around then and definitely with a Pentax 6x7 and a 55mm lens. It's one of those shots that I remember taking, but never liked the way the raw film looked. But slap that sucker on a good drum scanner and you'll often be surprised. I know I was. And while it might technically be the wrong time of day, I love how you can almost feel the crispness in the air.

It's still available here in China, with an expiry date of 2015. But it's the last batch and prices are high, at $9/roll. OUCH.
Beautiful film though.....I just love Reala. It was dirt cheap just a year ago.
I was interested in trying it but it was discontinued here ages ago, so no chance.
My personal favourite is Astia - I still have a 220 roll here in the fridge but it expired some time ago. Saving it for a very special fashion editorial shoot..
Can't stand the P160NS and Pro400 (not provia 400X) - the colours are truly god awful.

I was in Yosemite over the weekend and I am not sure there's a "right" time of day there.
Leica R6, Summicron 35mm f2, Portra 400. Far from technical optimal, but under poor indoor conditions I was happy to get the shot when the kid at 3 played with the baby boy's feet.

Astia is indeed a great film and I just recently purchased 20 rolls of it in 220 size. I can't wait to start using that great colored film.
Can I ask where you got it? I'd love to load up on 120 or 220.
