Not so much the smell - more the taste. To tell that prints are sufficiently washed, lick them; to tell if the stop-bath needs changing, taste it. Fine for B&W, but not a good idea for color (depending on process): bleaching your teeth is best left to a licensed dentist!

Well, i'm not printing yet so no need for me to be tasting chemicals!
And no, in no case will I EVER be licking chemicals. The stop bath will surely have developer in it.
ill use a better scan for these in the morning, but fo now, i wanted to share the work on my Polaroid backed Mamiya RB67 Pro. S, and photographed with a Galaxy S IV,
