Ceder, Rattymouse: Thank you for your kind words; most appreciated here. This thread and the contributors have really renewed my spirit into image making.
The post is on page 312, but I find it very helpful to everyone that posts the scanner used. I have 15 years of 35mm and 120mm film that I need to start scanning at some point....
I am in HK right now, shooting some film. Actually rather a lot of film so look to this thread in a week or so!
Sounds great...looking forward to your images, and enjoy a San Miguel (or two) while you are there...
jolson72: I'm currently using my 12 year-old Canon FS2710 for the 35mm work, but will be getting an Epson V750-M in a few weeks to start on my larger neg's and transparencies.
Gawd I love film. I have shot my new digi for the last few days, and all I can say is that I'm sick of computer edited images and am longing to process some film.
jolson72, I use an Epson V700 scanner. It's easy and I like it.
Some from my last scanned batch of film (sorry, can't remember what I've posted before). I have several rolls to develop in the next few days...
I love those old rokkors. Very nice... yeah, the DX lens will vignette badly once you go past 15' and stop down. It's a lens made for smaller image circle, go figure, but I think it's great up close. I use it wide open all the time.
